Oral Hygiene
For your health, maintain good oral hygiene. In this way, you will prevent the emergence of diseases and contribute to your general well-being.
- Brush your teeth 2 to 3 times a day for 3 minutes;
- Regularly flossing;
- Replace the toothbrush at least every 3 months;
- Eat a healthy and balanced diet;
- Use fluoride toothpaste to prevent tooth decay;
- Do not eat too many sweets between meals;
- See your dentist or hygienist twice a year for a checkup and, if necessary, a dental cleaning.

What to avoid:
- Smoking;
- Drink alcohol;
- Exercise or exertion during the first 24 hours after surgery.
What to do:
- After surgery, if bleeding occurs, apply direct pressure by biting into a clean rolled handkerchief and rest;
- In the first 24 hours, eat semi-cold, soft or liquid meals (soups, ice cream, etc.);
- Apply Chlorhexidine gel on the affected area;
- Apply ice to the face several times a day to prevent swelling;
- After the first 24 hours, wash with mouthwash or hot salt water (apply a spoon of table salt) every 4 hours and after meals. Keep your teeth as clean as possible.
